TONY Blair was last night embroiled in a fresh controversy over Iraq after former BBC director general Greg Dyke accused Downing Street of bullying and lying over the war.
In his memoirs - serialised in two Sunday newspapers - Mr Dyke bitterly denounced the Prime Minister he once admired, claiming he had "duped" the country over the case for military action.
Downing Street reacted coolly to the extracts of Inside Story, published in The Observer and the Mail on Sunday, saying that Mr Dyke - who was forced to quit the BBC over the Hutton report - was entitled to his opinion.
