WITH President Macapagal-Arroyo going to China on a three-day visit, Vice President Noli de Castro will get a feel of what it's like to be the big boss.
It may not be much of a feeling.
The popular former television anchor was named yesterday "government caretaker'' during Ms Arroyo's absence. The President is leaving at 6 this morning and is scheduled to be back at 11:30 p.m. on Friday.
"The President told (Executive) Secretary Eduardo Ermita at around 4 o'clock (yesterday) that the Vice President will be the caretaker,'' Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye said.
Ms Arroyo relayed her instruction to Ermita during a daylong Cabinet workshop which she conducted yesterday for the entire Cabinet, including De Castro.
