THEY'RE not exactly new to the job but members of the new Arroyo Cabinet yesterday participated in a 12-hour "workshop'' conducted by no less than the Chief Executive herself.
President Macapagal-Arroyo's "class" included all Cabinet secretaries-save for Energy Secretary Vince Perez and Finance Secretary Juanita Amatong who were abroad-as well as Vice President Noli de Castro and Cabinet-rank presidential advisers.
The workshop, with the theme "One vision, one mission, one team," held at the Bahay Pangarap outside Malaca[currency]ang, was to culminate in the oath-taking of the new Cabinet secretaries at 8 p.m. yesterday. It was also held a day before the President leaves for a three-day state visit to China.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Ricardo Saludo, secretary to the Cabinet, said the workshop tackled the President's Medium Term Philippine Development Plan (MTPDP) to eradicate poverty and improve the economy.
