Renault is going all out to make sure its new supermini, the Modus, is top dog in its class - one of the most competitive on the market.
Competitive pricing, the lowest insurance rating and high levels of equipment are aimed at ensuring the Modus is the new supermini to own.
Key in Renault's sales arsenal is the Modus' clear insurance advantage over its competitors from Vauxhall, Ford and Honda.
The Modus Authentique 1.2 16V, for example, comes in at 2E in both petrol and diesel guise. That's one bracket lower than both of the entry-level Jazz and Meriva models, which both have 3E ratings.
The Modus Expression 1.5 dCi 80, a car considered to be the most powerful car available in its class with a diesel engine under 1.6 litres, was also awarded with an extremely competitive 3E rating.
