In a first attempt to end years of rampant computer piracy here, Serbian authorities brought criminal charges Friday against a software developer for alleged unlicensed use of Microsoft and Adobe System programs.
Police said they had filed charges against Branko Nikitovic, 35, the owner of Belgrade-based Serbian Object Laboratories for "illegally using programs of Microsoft Corporation and Adobe Systems Inc." by customizing and selling the software to unspecified clients.
