The 2006 California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT) State Conference will be held February 17-19 in Costa Mesa, California. Davide Cabassi, a finalist from the recent 2005 Van Cliburn Competition, will be the guest artist. Making his orchestral debut at age 13, Cabassi has been engaged by most of the prominent musical associations of his native country, and spent five years as one of the few select students at the International Piano Foundation in Cadenabbia, Italy.
