Imo State Police Command has warned members of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) against embarking on a planned mass rally on August 26, to commemorate what it called the Biafra Day.

In a press release, the Command's Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Chike Nwabuwa in Owerri Wednesday, said the command reminds the public that it is only the Federal Republic of Nigeria that exists in Nigeria and that it is a treasonable felony for anybody to unlawfully declare any other republic within the country.
