A pack of developers, contractors and Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker formed a caravan of seven motorcycles and a stretch SUV to tour four projects that will create much-needed jobs.

"It really sounds like you've got your act together in the way few municipalities come through," said visiting professor Len Greenhalgh, director of programs for minority- and women-owned business enterprises at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business. "It's very impressive what Milwaukee has done."

The tour was organized by the Wisconsin Minority Business Opportunity Committee, a publicly funded organization trying to increase opportunities for disadvantaged business enterprises. The convoy visited Milwaukee's …
