Oba market police station in Benin City, Edo State was turned to a battle ground yesterday morning as soldiers from the 322 Field Artilery Regiment invaded the station and engaged the policemen in a bloody fight that left an Inspector and two other policemen injured.

Sunday Vanguard learnt that the soldiers attacked the policemen at the police station following an alleged assault on an Army private by a group of policemen at the King Square area of Benin City at about 8.30 am while he was returning from duty.
