CSI Wireless Inc. of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, introduced GPSteer, an automatic steering system for tractors and other self-propelled agricultural equipment. The aftermarket product automatically steers vehicles along consistently straight or curved rows, according to the company.
Drivers engage GPSteer when starting a row, and the system automatically disengages when they begin turning at the end of the row. The product aims to enhance driver accuracy and improves field productivity by reducing over-laps and skips between rows and reducing driver fatigue, and enabling vehicle operation at night or in other low-visibility environments.
