Gabon: The US state department announced the signing of an Open Skies air transport agreement with Gabon on May 26th, making Gabon the 62nd bilateral open skies partner and the 13th partner in sub-Saharan Africa. (US state department, Washington 27/5) Gabon has decided to open a judicial inquiry to investigate the cause of the Gabon Express plane crash on June 8th that killed 19 people, when it fell into the sea shortly after take-off from an airport in Libreville.
