LONG BEACH: Long Beach Museum of Art, 2300 E. Ocean Blvd., 90803. The Museum's bluff-top campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean houses the historic 1912 Elizabeth Milbank Anderson house, a Museums Cafe and Store, sculpture gardens and an art pavilion, which features changing exhibitions and the Museum's collection of fine and decorative arts. MONTEREY: Monterey Museum of Art at La Mirada, 720 Via Mirada, 93940. La Mirada, an historic home built in the 1920s incorporates the remains of an early nineteenth-century adobe, and features decorative arts such as a rare triple-tier Sheraton table, lacquer screen (c. 1740), and a Dutch semanier. Complementing the elegant ambiance are magnificent rhododendron and rose gardens. The Dart wing addition exhibits the Museum's permanent collection.
