CHINSURAH, Aug. 16. - At least 300 people of Khanpukur in Champdani have been infected with Jaundice over the past seven days. The local councillor claims that the disease has already killed Gita Nath (22), Usha Devi (25) and her three-day-old baby on 6 August. "Gita Nath died at RG Kar hospital yesterday and Usha Devi and her child died at Calcutta Medical Collage and Hospital on 6 August," said Mr Taraknath Singh, Trinamul councillor of ward no. 10 of the municipality.
