NetForecast Rates the Pivia Performance Solution; Pivia Receives Highest Rankings for Optimizing Efficiency and Quality of Web Applications.
CUPERTINO, Calif., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Pivia(TM) Inc., the leader in Web Application Delivery and Optimization, today announced that NetForecast(R) has evaluated the Pivia Performance Solution (PPS) in its NetForecast Performance Framework, a comprehensive description of performance functions and application classes. Results confirm that the Pivia solution significantly improves provisioning, efficiency and quality of Web applications deployed to a global workforce. The PPS received positive ratings in the Web Applications category, specifically in relation to asset management and experience management frameworks. With several capabilities such as SSL offloading, compression and caching, the PPS greatly improves asset management. NetForecast gave the PPS a positive rating score of +0.1 in provisioning and the highest score of +1.0 in efficiency. Additionally, the PPS has numerous innovative features that reduce the effects of WAN latency and bandwidth bottlenecks, and intelligently deliver documents from the edge of the network at LAN speed, resulting in improved end-user response times. Based on this functionality, the PPS rates a +1.0 in quality on the experience management side of the framework.
