TURIN, Italy, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Animal rights activists accuse Russia's Olympic delegation of importing large quantities of black caviar into Italy, violating an international ban on the roe.
Russian business newspaper Kommersant wrote last week that the Russians were celebrating their successes at the Winter Games by having lavish parties with as much as 100 kilograms -- more than 220 pounds -- of sturgeon caviar, The Moscow Times reported Tuesday.
