(From Nottingham Evening Post)
The new 18,000 sq ft building - at the Old Brick Yard in Carlton - was commissioned for Nottingham companies G&M Electrical Contractors Ltd and Peak Aluminium Systems Ltd after a failed search by their chairman for new facilities.
It is claimed to be one of the region's most forward thinking and state-of-the-art commercial premises.
Both companies are now fully operational in the new premises since relocating from much smaller Nottingham facilities.
Company chairman Kevin Moran planned every aspect of the new facility, from the location to installation of lighting, internal environment, computer systems, telecommunications, and air conditioning.
All have been designed with a view to making the facility a perfect working environment for the 54 staff employed by both companies.
Peak Aluminium Systems directors Wayne Cook and David Rowell designed and installed all aspects of the frontage and glazing using the 'Smart' range of curtain walling, window and door sections with grey anti-sun double glazed units.
