Ibrahim Sekajja has denied walking out on the Cranes before their 2006 World Cup/Africa Nations Cup tie against Ghana's Black Stars early this month.

The Argentine-based defender was for the first time reacting to accusations that he was given Shs 4 million by the Cranes Working Committee.

"At no time did I demand or receive that money from anybody," a sad Sekajja told The Monitor on phone from Argentina. The 24-year-old defender had no kind words for Haruna Mawanda, Fufa's general secretary, for his 'wild allegations' that he had received Shs 4 million and then run away. …
