NEW DELHI: India is all set to intensify its engagement with Sri Lanka once again. But this time it's not just because of the complex security situation there, but also to try and neutralise the increasing influence of Pakistan and US in the strategically located island nation, say officials.

The visiting Sri Lankan delegation, led by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse, and India have finalised a Defence Cooperation Agreement that primarily focuses on India providing a large amount of military ware to Sri Lanka.

India is also looking into Rajapakse's request to increase the credit line from $100 …
