I would like to thank Karen Harrington, NCTM, immediate past president of the division, for the wonderful job she has done leading us these past two years. I know she will continue to contribute her contagious enthusiasm and love for MTNA in her term on the Board of Directors. I also would like to welcome Charles Jones, NCTM, our president-elect. As a past president of Louisiana MTA, Charles brings fine leadership skills and excellent ideas to the division.
Both Arkansas and Oklahoma had their state conferences on June 4 and 5. The Arkansas conference was held in Conway, and Peggy Lewis, NCTM, became the new Arkansas state president on June 5. The Oklahoma conference was in Tulsa, and this year marks the seventy-fifth anniversary of its state organization and the fiftieth year ...
