* I disagree with Ken Rosenthal that Barry Bonds should be the N.L. MVP (TSN, July 19). He points out Bonds has a higher on-base percentage than everyone else. So would anyone who walks twice per game! Scott Rolen is among MLB's leaders in RBIs. Plus, he is leading the Cardinals to the top of the N.L. Don't pick Bonds just because he can hit one out any time you pitch to him.

* One of the things I love about TSN is its almost complete focus on sports as opposed to related societal issues. I therefore think it is time to retire former (and probably future) politician J.C. Watts as a My Turn columnist. Watts' columns are inevitably about conservative values with only the most tangential relationship to sports. I do not think My Turn should be used as a political soapbox.
