Islamabad: The two-days Pakistan and Indian defence secretary's talks on Siachen glaciers could not bring any significant breakthrough except agreement to continue talks on the issue. The next round of the talks would take place in Islamabad and dates for the same would be scheduled soon after the bilateral talks of the two foreign ministers early next month in New Delhi.

Both the sides stick to their respective contentions regarding determination of position on the glaciers. Well placed diplomatic sources told The News here that Pakistan has made it crystal clear to the Indians in the talks that authentication of Indian positioning on the glaciers would not be acceptable proposition for Islamabad since India …
