Phatra Securities eyes SET listing ahead of 2005 derivatives bourse.

Phatra Securities, one of the country's leading investment banks, has expressed interest in listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

CEO Suvit Mapaisansin said a listing would give the brokerage increased capital and reserves to expand into the offering of new financial products expected to launch in 2005 with the opening of a new derivatives market.

He said Phatra was also interested in applying for an asset management licence to help the firm diversify its income stream from its current core businesses of securities brokerage and investment banking.
