City council bosses are already facing a possible hole in their budget of nearly GBP6 million, just months into the financial year.

And with current cash reserves of GBP4.7 million an official report warns there is 'little room for manoeuvre'.

But council leader Tudor Evans (pictured) has pointed out that it is early days, and pledged to keep tight control of the city purse strings.

A financial report to cabinet also revealed that car parking income is forecast to be GBP480,000 lower than expected, including a predicted shortfall of GBP335,000 from Sunday and evening parking charges. This has been seized on by the …
