PUTRAJAYA, Mon. - The Organisation of the Islamic Conference has not decided on sending a peacekeeping force to Iraq, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said today.

He said the OIC had not met to discuss the issue.

"Saudi Arabia is gathering information from member countries on the feasibility of forming a peace corps. The idea to form a peacekeeping force came from Saudi Arabia but that country cannot decide on its own." The idea, he said, had elicited a mixed reaction.
