PRAGUE - Faster economic growth will help the new Czech government secure money for support to families which it has set as one of its main objectives, Transport Minister and future vice-premier Milan Simonovsky said on Czech Television today.

The Czech economy has a chance to grow at least one percentage point faster than 3.2 per cent set by the previous government, he said.

PRAGUE - The Czech government's visa policy deprives the country of billions of crowns a year, not only because of a lower number of tourists coming to the country but also owing to a lower interest of investors, daily Lidove noviny wrote on Saturday.

PRAGUE - The number of cars with third-party liability insurance decreased by 85,000 to 5.092 million over the first six months of the year, according to the Czech Insurers' Office (CKP) database.
