PRAGUE, Aug 1 (CTK) - Faster economic growth will help the new Czech government secure money for support to families which it has set as one of its main objectives, Transport Minister and future vice-premier Milan Simonovsky said on Czech Television today.
The Czech economy has a chance to grow at least one percentage point faster than 3.2 per cent set by the previous government, he said.
Raising economic performance is the only source of money to finance higher spending, said Simonovsky, adding he regarded a rise of one percentage point as a reserved estimate.
"The economy is certainly capable of a much better performance," he said.
There is a huge growth potential in particular in rural areas, the support of which is also among the priorities of the new cabinet.
Ministers also want to focus on assistance to entrepreneurs and especially small and mid-sized companies, which should create new jobs and help reduce unemployment.
