MOLDAVA NAD BODVOU, East Slovakia, Aug 1 (CTK) - Former crane operator of the U.S. Steel Kosice company Zuzana Cingelova started this morning a protest march from east Slovakia to Bratislava to point to the government's alleged lack of interest in the socially weakest groups of the population.
"Our goal is to attract attention to the undignified life of almost two-thirds of the Slovak population. We have only one demand - that the government ensure a dignified life for all citizens of our country," Cingelova, 52, told CTK immediately after she started her march from the main square in Moldava nad Bodvou near Kosice.
Cingelova, who in the past went on a hunger strike to protest against an alleged violation of the rights of employees of the steelworks of the U.S. Steel Kosice company, is accompanied by twenty people of various ages on her journey.
