Nishith Kapalie says he spent half his life spelling his name out to strangers on the phone, in banks, or at school to his teachers and his friends... "I wish I had a more common name," he rued almost once a day.
But Kapalie, a resident of Ahmedabad, should probably consider himself lucky his name isn't 'Rajesh Patel' or 'Amrit Shah'.
Ravi Deshmukh, a Mumbaikar who recently visited the city on a short business trip, vouches for it. "My friend Rajesh Patel always gave me an open invitation to visit him if I was ever in Ahmedabad... and I couldn't resist it."
