DOCOMO MACHINE TO SELL LOCATION INFO SERVICE DEVELOPMENT KIT.
TOKYO, Aug 2 Asia Pulse - DoCoMo Machine Com Inc., a subsidiary of NTT DoCoMo Inc. (TSE:9437), is set to begin selling on Aug. 2 a software development kit that will enable users to devise mapping services that show the locations of cars and people, among other things.
DoCoMo Machine operates search services in which it transmits GPS (Global Positioning System) data through the mobile telephone network of NTT DoCoMo.
The company provides, for example, a vehicle dispatch support system for the taxi industry as an ASP (application service provider).
