TAIPEI, Aug 2 Asia Pulse - Taiwan has become a member of the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC), officials from the Standards, Metrology and Inspection Bureau (BSMI) said Saturday.

Taiwan formally became a member when Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) Chairman Lin Neng-jong, who doubles as the BSMI director general, signed recently the PAC multilateral recognition agreement.

In order to carry out the idea of "certified once, accepted everywhere, " BSMI has been seeking to sign multi-cooperation agreements with international accreditation organizations, Lin said.
