SEOUL, Aug 2 Asia Pulse - The amount of national pension funds invested into the country's stock market increased by 1.5 trillion won (US$1.28 billion) to reach a total of 8.6 trillion won as of late June, the government said Monday.

The Ministry of Planning and Budget said that this represented a monthly increase of 253 billion won coming into this year. This, it said, is part of a broad plan to diversify investment for the state-run pension fund.
