The recording makes it hard to discern just how many players are involved, but for some reason it doesn't seem like enough. Berlioz redesigned the full, modern manner of orchestration as we know it today with the Symphonie fantastique in 1830, so there are certain conventions we expect to be observed. Yes, it's also fun to hear how the work might have sounded on the period instruments of Berlioz's own time, but mainly we look forward in the Symphonie to a grand orchestral extravaganza. That's not really what we get here.
