For many jazz fans, just the news that an Arthur Blythe recording is available is sufficient information to warrant a purchase; no review or recommendation is necessary. But let me add a few details here just to look as though I am trying.

Exhale features a quartet anchored by the inimitable tuba of Bob Stewart, with John Hicks on piano and organ, Cecil Brooks III on drums, and of course Arthur Blythe on alto saxophone.
