Monty Alexander with Ernest Ranglin: Rocksteady (Telarc CD-83581)
Monty Alexander has released a number of recordings for Telarc, most of which have been, at least to these ears, of marginal musical value. Ernest Ranglin has released just a few Telarc recordings, but they have all been excellent. So what do you get when the two of them record together for Telarc? It's either another great Ernest Ranglin CD, or else maybe it is the first really worthwhile Monty Alexander CD.
In any event, what we have here is some fun music ...
