Budapest, August 1 (MTI) - A vigil was held by more than 100 Roma from Kecskemet, central Hungary, who were joined by protestors from Budapest, for a young man who died last Sunday during a police arrest was marred by several incidents, police told MTI on Sunday.
The vigil, organised by the Roma Civil Rights Foundation and the Kecskemet Gypsy Minority Self-Government, was just beginning in front of the county police headquarters when a man ran to the top of the stairs at the entrance with banners stating: "Enough of the hysteria" and "The policeman deserves praise". Roma protestors quickly tore up the banners and sent the man away.
