Budapest, August 1 (MTI) - Around 5,000 swimmers entered the 24th race across Lake Balaton, covering the 5.2 kilometre distance between Revfulop on the northern shore and Balatonboglar in the south.

However, the number of entrants was far less than last year's record of 10,731. Officials said this was due to the fact that the race, originally scheduled for Saturday, had to be postponed because of adverse weather conditions. Last year ...
