Budapest, August 1 (MTI) - Minister for Sports Ferenc Gyurcsany on Sunday contacted MTI to announce he had tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy. The prime minister's office has not as yet reacted publicly to the statement.
Gyurcsany, a politician of the ruling Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP), told MTI he had tendered his resignation during a personal meeting with Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy on Sunday.
"The prime minister will decide about whether he will, or will not accept my resignation only at the end of August, when he plans to reshuffle his cabinet," Gyurcsany said.
