BUYING cheap goods may not always prove to be a wise choice. For all you know, the products you are buying could be stolen goods.
Police arrested a Chinese trader and his wife in Valenzuela City the other day after car tires reported stolen three weeks ago were traced to their store.
But the suspects told the Inquirer they did not know the tires were stolen items.
The Northern Police District investigation division recovered 77 Simex and South Ocean tires from the warehouse of trader Kenny Sy and his wife, Maria Cecilia, in Barangay Arkong Bato, Valenzuela City, the other day.
Police also invited for questioning Chinese nationals Cimpson Lao and Alex Chua Tang. Sy told the police he bought the tires from the two.
