S. KOREA'S HALLA CLIMATE TO ESTABLISH AUTO-PARTS JV IN CHINA
SEOUL - Halla Climate Control Corp. (KSE:018880), which makes air conditioners for cars, said Friday it will set up a joint venture with a U.S. firm in China next month to expand its export markets.
The joint venture between Halla and U.S. auto parts supplier Visteon Corp. will be set up in Dalian, northeastern China, the company said in a filing with the Korea Stock Exchange.
HYUNDAI MOBIS TO SET UP AUTO-PARTS JV IN CHINA
SEOUL - Hyundai Mobis (KSE:012330), the auto parts arm of Hyundai Motor Group (KSE:005380), said Friday it will set up a 50-50 joint venture in China to secure its own sales network in the world's fastest-growing auto market.
In a filing with the Korea Stock Exchange, the Hyundai Motor affiliate said it will invest US$3.5 million to open Beijing Hyundai Mobis Parts Co., which is scheduled to start operation next month.
