KUALA TERENGGANU, July 23 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Terengganu Umno division, the last of the eight Umno divisions in the state to hold their delegates' meeting, saw the ouster of its incumbent pro tem head, Datuk Roslan Awang Chik, by Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh, his deputy, last night.
Roslan, who is also president of the Malaysian Malay Contractors Association, was defeated by Wan Ahmad Farid, who is political secretary to the Home Minister, by a majority of 126 votes at the meeting held at Sekolah Menengah Padang Negara here.
