WIGAN Athletic star Graham Kavanagh has a couple of important dates coming up in the next two weeks - a cup final and an international.
He has been told he has a key role to play in Steve Staunton's new-look Republic of Ireland team who play Sweden on March 1, just three days after the Carling Cup final against Manchester United.
The Wigan star said: "It's always an honour to play for my country and the Sweden game is something to look forward to."
Meanwhile on the domestic front, Kavanagh has expressed his concerns about the poor state of the recently re-laid JJB Stadium pitch. …
