BERLIN, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- A German newspaper cartoon depicting Iranian soccer players as suicide bombers has sparked death threats and an attack on the German Embassy in Tehran.

Cartoonist Klaus Stuttmann of the Berlin daily Der Tagesspiegel sparked the uproar Friday with the drawing of four Iranian players primed to explode alongside four German players dressed in army uniform.

The caption said: "The real reason why the German army has to be used during the World Cup," which Stuttman said shows he was insulting ...
