Stora Enso's new supply system leads to increase in volumes through Zeebrugge.

LAST year marked a turning point for Stora Enso at its Zeebrugge terminal as the paper giant implemented the first phase of its North European Transport Supply System.

Originally launched in January 2004, Stora Enso announced that cargo flows from southern Finland to the UK and Belgium would be concentrated on the port of Kotka as of July 1, 2005.

In Zeebrugge, this meant that southern Finnish volumes were transferred from the port of Antwerp to Zeebrugge so these flows could also enter the now famous weather-protected Stora Enso Cargo Unit system.
