] BIG LOTTERY FUND 06-02-10 8 February 2006 BIG LOTTERY FUND SPURS ON LONDON'S KIDS
The Big Lottery Fund and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club are helping youngsters at a London youth project to achieve their goals as the Fund announces the latest round of its Lottery good cause awards.
Projects in the region will receive a total of GBP740,062 from the Young People's Fund programme, which will distribute GBP40 million of lottery cash to groups working with young people in England.
Mind in Enfield is a group that works with young people suffering from mental health issues. Supported by a GBP50,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund, they have teamed up with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club to offer a weekly sports programme, in conjunction with Mencap. They will offer football training by Spurs coaches and a chance for the Mind in Enfield team to play in a mental health league.
