Coach Nick Saban doesn't intend to make substantial changes to the DOLPHINS' offense. That means new coordinator Mike Mularkey, who will call the plays, will need to learn the language and system former coordinator Scott Linehan installed this season. WR Chris Chambers and other players have expressed concern about a possible change in systems. Saban's main goal is for the offense to be more balanced under Mularkey. ... There likely won't be extensive changes to the BRONCOS' offense under new coordinator Mike Heimerdinger. Coach Mike Shanahan believes in his system, which has been successful for years. Heimerdinger likes his quarterbacks to take seven-step drops and have a deep pass option, but QB Jake Plummer thrived with a short dropback that made him think and throw quickly. ... The TITANS believe RB Travis Henry still can be as effective as he was with the Bills. Henry (ankle surgery) should be ready for offseason workouts. The team likes his toughness, and his low-to-the-ground running style makes him effective in short-yardage situations. ... RG Brian Rimpf surprised the RAVENS' coaches after becoming a starter late in the season. He is tough and has enough power and leverage to move strong defensive tackles. Rimpf has gotten better in pass protection but still must read blitzes and make adjustments better. Whoever is brought in to upgrade the position could have a tough time rooting him out. ... Colquitt has a nice touch inside the 20 and his high punts are easy to cover, so the team didn't yield a lot of return yards this season. The left-footed Colquitt's punts also are difficult for returners to field. ... RAIDERS FB Zack Crockett will be challenged by Omar Easy and John Paul Foschi in 2006. Easy and Foschi aren't as adept at carrying the ball as Crockett and they lack his experience, but they are less expensive and still improving. RB LaMont Jordan (5-10,230) can handle Crockett's short-yardage and goal-line running duties. ... The STEELERS might look at Trai Essex at right tackle in camp. Essex has good feet and athleticism and filled in well at left tackle when Marvel Smith missed 4 1/2 games. The coaches think Essex will be a good player, but he's not going to beat out Smith. Max Starks is the starter at right tackle. ... BROWNS QB Charlie Frye will be meticulous in his preparations for next season. He still has a lot to learn about well-disguised zone blitzes .... FB Moran Norris will be a key part of the TEXANS' run-oriented offense. He was especially ...
