Service Announcements
I work at a salon in Los Angeles, and I would like-no, love-to say thank you, Allure ["At Your Service," February]. Not only did I bow down to every blessed word; I also felt completely validated by it. I'd like to add that a call the next day from a happy client will make a stylist's day, and it builds a great relationship. Thank you for telling the world to be more considerate of the people who make them feel as beautiful as they are.

I loved your article, but as a receptionist, I thought there were a few things you left out. While we love to be buttered up, please understand that we can't perform miracles-your stylist has the last word on who he can squeeze in. We have a stressful, thankless job, juggling a variety of demands while managing many, many egos. If clients are dissatisfied with any part of their experience, we encourage them to talk to their stylist or the manager, not vent to the receptionist.
