A wildlife group is calling on Westcountry residents to help it in its bid to save the endangered turtle.

The animals are battling for survival against increasingly polluted oceans, and hunters who steal their eggs to sell the shells.

Female turtles will only lay their eggs at the beach where they were born. If it is developed they will not lay their eggs and will never return.

Now the Marine Conservation Society is encouraging people to help it protect the future of turtles through its Adopt-A-Turtle packs.
