The IRS is after you -- if you want a job, that is.

The Internal Revenue Service is looking to hire hundreds of agents nationwide, including at its offices in Sarasota, Fort Myers and other Florida cities.

Qualified candidates could become revenue agents, revenue officers or tax compliance officers at starting salaries ranging from $33,071 to $58,903, depending on experience and education.

The IRS, one of the largest employers of accountants in the country, is looking both for workers starting their careers as well as seasoned tax professionals, said Florida spokesman Michael Dobzinski.
