THE master of Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas was found dead in his stateroom early on Monday, according to a statement from the Miami firm, writes Rajesh Joshi in New York.

Captain Joern Rene Klausen, a 38-year-old Norwegian, appears to have died from natural causes, Royal Caribbean said.
