Statistics can't apply to passive smoking.

In her letter attempting to refute my allegation that statistics on passive smoking are unobtainable, Kate Alley of ASH corroborates my assertion. (WMN, January 3) While she cites many reports of high-sounding quangos, there is no citation of any research paper which has been compiled from acceptable statistics.

Nor can there be. There is no grouping of people immune from secondary smoke with which to make the comparative study with all other factors being equal.
